Safe Space Training

RSSC's Safe Space Trainings provide institutions and organizations the tools necessary to create safe zones for their LGBTQIA+ students, employees, and community members.

Building visible, sustained safety

Safe Space Training equips faculty, staff, and leadership with the language, awareness, and practical tools to create environments where LGBTQIA+ students, employees, and community members feel genuinely safe, seen, and supported.

What participants gain

  • Shared vocabulary and current understanding of LGBTQIA+ identities and experiences

  • Practical tools for responding to bias, harassment, and exclusion when they occur

  • Guidance on visibly signaling safety within classrooms, offices, and shared spaces

  • A framework for sustaining safe-space practice beyond the training itself

Trainings can be delivered as a single session, a multi-part series, or embedded within a broader DEI professional development plan for your institution.
