Dr. Tia Robinson-Cooper

Consultant

Tia Robinson-Cooper, Ed.D., believes that community colleges change the lives of students one student at a time. Her belief is that all students should have access to higher education and can learn when provided the necessary tools and resources.  As an equity-minded leader, she strives to empower the campus community to courageously analyze and address the policies, procedures, and processes that reinforce inequities in order to produce equitable outcomes for students.

Dr. Robinson-Cooper's leadership prioritizes increasing student enrollment; strengthening and developing external partnerships; improving employee and student success; and is foundational to removing the racial and equity barriers that impact students of color.

She has also served as Chancellor, of Ivy Tech Community College, President, of Contra Costa College,  Provost and Vice-President of Academic Affairs/Chief Academic Officer at Inver Hills Community College, one of 30 community colleges within the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system.  In addition, she served in numerous positions including Vice-President of Academic Affairs at East Central College, Dean of Teaching and Learning (Rock Valley College); Associate Dean and Dean of Instruction (Olive-Harvey College); Dean of Academic Affairs (Northwestern College); and adjunct faculty appointments (City Colleges of Chicago, Elmhurst College, and University of Phoenix).
